Available one of a kind book hand-painted book – A Mighty Fortress

Subject of the book: When I was 6 or 7 years-old I would look up at my mother in church and she’d be singing, and I’d be awed and slightly frightened by her singing so forcefully this hymn filled with war images,  A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.

The idea I had of my mother and this hymn filled with violence so confused me. Could one person have such opposing forces in her?
